He is followed by Bernard Arnault & family and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. As per the estimation of Forbes, there are over 2700 billionaires across the world in 2021, 660 higher than the previous year with a record 493 new billionaires. Although the number of billionaires fell sharply in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it rebounded and surged in 2021.
